The Internet resources provided at our site allow you access to curriculum-specific help which will assist you in the learning of physics. Proper and effective utilization of these resources will enhance your learning, reduce your stress, and improve your grade. The links below will allow you to navigate to key areas of our Web site which offer instructional assistance and other course-relevant information.

### Specific Assistance with Past Units

Click the unit titles below to navigate directly to the desired unit:

### Unit 4: Momentum

• Online animations which illustrate momentum conserv'n in a qualitative fashion - see either The Astronaut Catch or The Diesel Engine and Flatcar Collision or Big Fish in Motion Catches Little Fish or Little Fish in Motion is Caught by Big Fish.
• Online animations for The Cart and The Brick lab. See either a 2-kg brick dropped on a 1-kg cart or a 2-kg brick dropped on a 3-kg cart. If you still can't do the lab after viewing this animation, there is still more information available in Lesson 2b of Unit 4 at The Physics Classroom.
• Online animations which illustrate the principles of momentum conservation in both elastic and inelastic collisions. Choose from the available list at the Multimedia Physics Studios.
• An online animation which illustrates the vector addition principles involved in a 2-dimensional collision. The animation should assist with the completion of the car collision problems on pp. 25-26 of your Unit 4 Packet.
• An informative discussion of the Impulse-Momentum Change Theorem with a variety of examples and detailed solutions to several packet questions - see Lesson 1b of Unit 4 at The Physics Classroom.
• An illustration of several real-world phenomena which illustrate the effect that a change in the variables of the Impulse-Momentum Change Theorem can have upon the outcome of a collision - see Lesson 1c of Unit 4 at The Physics Classroom.
• An informative discussion of Newton's Third Law of Motion (Action-Reaction) with a variety of examples and detailed discussion of several packet questions - see Lesson 2a of Unit 4 at The Physics Classroom.
• An informative discussion of the Law of Momentum Conservation with a variety of examples and detailed solutions to several packet questions - see Lesson 2b of Unit 4 at The Physics Classroom.
• An illustration of how the Law of Momentum Conservation is applied to conduct collision analyses and solve momentum problems. A variety of examples are given, including detailed solutions to several packet questions - see Lesson 2d of Unit 4 at The Physics Classroom.
• An illustration of how the Law of Momentum Conservation is applied to conduct explosion analyses and solve momentum problems. A variety of examples are given - see Lesson 2e of Unit 4 at The Physics Classroom.

### Finding Out More:

In addition to the links provided here, it is recommended that you search by topic using the Thinkronize's NetTrekker search engine - the search engine for students. The site includes a series of teacher-previewed links for a number of physics topics (as well as other school topics).
