Unit 4: Momentum and Collisions

Problem Set A

Problem 1:

A 2409 kg pick-up truck driven by Ford Tuff has a velocity of 35.2 m/s east. What is the magnitude of the momentum of the truck in kg-m/s?

TIP:

Problem 1 involves the routine use of the momentum equation. If you are having difficulty with this problem, then it is recommended that you spend some time reviewing the definition of momentum and collisions in your textbook or online at The Physics Classroom before proceeding with the remaining questions.
