The following schedule is updated frequently. It's role is to serve as an organizational tool for students to find both required and helpful resources relevant to daily activities.

Thursday, August 23

Class Lesson Plan

Assign seats; organization; survival packet

Discuss: inertia and Newton's first law of motion; demos

Makeup Work:

Acquire survival packet; read carefully (if necessary). Use online resources to catch-up. Do makeup lab for Pass the Water Please! Lab.

Textbook Reading:

Read Chapter 4.1-3

Assigned Homework:

Complete Pass the Water Please! Lab (pp. 1-2)

Do Chapter 4.1-3 Reading Sheet (pp. 3-4); submit answers online by 8 am on the next Physics day.

Discuss inertia and Newton's first law; balanced vs. unbalanced forces; some pretty good demos; Inertia, Force and Motion (p. 9 only)

Galileo for a Day Lab (pp. 5-6)

Makeup Work:

Use online resources to catch-up. Come in immediately to do makeup lab for Galileo for a Day (pp. 5-6)

Textbook Reading:

Review Chapter 4.1-3

Assigned Homework:

Complete Galileo for a Day Lab (pp. 5-6)

Complete Inertia, Force, and Motion (pp. 9-10 only) and Mass and Weight (p. 8)

The first two problem sets of the year are open; acquire a paper version of the sets if necessary. No need to start any yet.
