Studying Suggestions for Unit 9 Quiz #1 

Your next will be on Friday, November 9. The quiz will be a one-page quiz, covering a both sides of a sheet of paper. The equation relating centripetal acceleration to speed and radius will be provided. Other equations will have to be committed to memory. Other than a calculator, no other helps will be provided nor allowed. Students can expect the following concepts, skills, and problem-types to be assessed on this quiz:

  1. An understanding of the motion characteristics of objects moving in a circle and the ability to identify the direction of the velocity, acceleration and net force vectors at various locations along the circular path. (Packet, pp. 3-4; MOP, sublevels 1-3)
