Jazz Fest has a long history of showcasing some of Illinois' finest Junior High and Senior High Jazz ensembles. Over 80 groups will be performing throughout the day. Our featured evening guest ensemble this year will be the DePaul Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Bob Lark! Jazz Fest will also feature a lunchtime set performed by the The United States Marine Corps Jazz Combo. We welcome back our 2011 Grand Champion, the Wheeling High School Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Brian Logan, who will be featured during the evening concert. During the Jazz Fest hours, each registered jazz ensemble or combo is scheduled into a private clinic given by an adjudicator immediately following their performance. Concessions/Tee Shirts The Jazz Café and Bake Sale, located in the cafeteria across from the auditorium, will be selling food all day. 2012 North Shore Jazz Fest insignia tee shirts will be available for purchase in the auditorium hallway. Admission $10 per adult and $5 per senior citizen or child under 12. We offer a $25 family package, which entitles an entire family to attend the whole day's festivities for one fee. The North Shore Jazz Fest is a collaborative effort of so many generous businesses and individuals in our community. We are forever grateful to the parents of our band students who are the heart and soul of this event.
